Fundamental Bullet Points

·Corn futures took a dive yesterday as the first ship loaded with Ukrainian grain left the port of Odesa. The first ship was loaded with 26,000 tons of corn. Though this isn’t a huge amount of corn, the symbolism of it happening has a bigger impact.

·Nancy Pelosi is expected to visit Taiwan today. China’s mouthpiece has been using strong language and threats towards the U.S. if this visit does indeed happen. This has traders and other market participants worried about possible repercussions on the trade front.

·The above average temperatures and below average precipitation forecast remain intact for large areas of the grain belt. On the eastern side, forecasts look to be retreating back to average weather conditions.
